I am writing to highly recommend Cody as a contractor. He completed a major renovation of our home in Palo Alto, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Cody transformed our 1960s home (complete with pink bathrooms!) to a modern haven. He advised us heavily on several aspects, like structural design, architectural decisions, design choices, wood working options, etc. and saved us major $$$. He put us in touch with relevant specialists (structural engineers, architects etc). He also recommended the best places and times to purchase different options.  Cody is also very creative and has a keen eye for design. We heavily relied on his design recommendations. We have gotten several compliments on our home for the choices that he pushed us towards, ex: a large great room obtained by combining the kitchen, dining, and sitting areas, ceiling to floor tiled fireplaces, large kitchen island that he promised "would be the center of the home and where everyone gathers'' (so true). Cody was professional, reliable, and communicative throughout the entire process. He provided us with detailed estimates and timelines, and he kept us updated on our project's progress every step of the way. He was also very flexible and accommodating, and he was always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that we were happy with the work. He navigated the complex Palo Alto City approvals process, and his method of only charging when the inspection is complete was a welcome change compared to most other contractors. Cody was very frank and open with us, and did not hesitate to tell us if he thought some of our architectural or design choices were not a good idea. People generally don't want to ever see their contractors again, but we really like Cody and would work with him again in a heartbeat. In fact, we have reached out to him since for small projects in the home. It's been 5 years since our remodel and we have not had a single issue with the home.  We are so grateful to Cody for his professionalism, expertise, and dedication. He went above and beyond to make sure that our home was exactly what we wanted, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor. In addition to the above, I would like to add that Cody is a rare find in the contracting world.

I am delighted to share my experience with Cody, an excellent contractor who executed a complete remodel of our home in Saratoga. Cody was initially recommended to me by my architect, and I couldn't have been more fortunate to have him lead this project. Cody's attention to detail is truly exceptional. I was wary that a project as large as ours couldn’t possibly be completed on time. But from the inception of our project to its completion, Cody exhibited a level of thoroughness that I have not seen before. I was lucky to find Cody as my contractor on a rather very complicated project. He came highly recommended through my architect and he did not disappoint me. Cody is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and resourceful. He is wonderful in planning ahead and completing jobs on a tight timeline without compromising the quality of his work.  He is very creative and usually comes up with good inputs, advice and recommendations on every aspect. He was instrumental in designing the floor plan, in selecting the finishes, and dealing with the city inspectors. I do not recall any big hold ups or flags from the city which shows he knows his work. Cody has a big group of subcontractors that are experts in their own areas. They respect Cody a lot and there were no delays due to unavailability of the labor. Cody is fairly hands-on and treated this project as if he was working on his own house. He was very patient to assist every step of the way through the permits, approvals and other documentations with the city.  In summary, I highly recommend him and think he is a 5 star contractor.  

We did a complete make-over with expansions of our home in 2019. We had a rough idea of what we wanted but were not sure about many details. Cody patiently worked with us and suggested many great structural and design ideas. This was even before we signed up with him.  The team was super easy to work with and we had a lot of fun working out all the details with them. We made multiple adjustments to the setup in the process. Cody was able to adjust and adapt the work and was equally excited as us to get it right. We had a tight six months deadline to get the house done as we had a fixed short-term rental lease. Cody and his crew were able to get the job done early enough for us to easily move in. Pandemic hit soon after. Having an extra room and a brand new place was really helpful. While we were stuck at home, we were at least able to enjoy our newly redone home to the fullest. We are really thankful to the team and recommend them highly.

We had the pleasure of working with Cody on my house remodel in 2018. I was very impressed with his expertise, and various recommendations to improve the house. Cody seamlessly worked with all his subcontractors, kept us updated and was always available to answer any questions we had. The house came out great and was delivered on time. We had a few issues of water leak a few years later and Cody was very prompt in addressing them. I could not have asked for better after sales service 🙂

Remodeling a home can be daunting, especially if you've never done it before. I was looking for a contractor to come in and manage the entire project, with a relatively quick turnaround. Cody was the perfect contractor to manage my home's remodel. Normally you expect projects to take longer than originally anticipated, but Cody was strict about sticking to the schedule, and completed the project on time. He clearly communicated the things he needed from me, established clear decision deadlines, and ensured that everything done by his team was done to code & quality. I wanted a unique look that wasn't the usual cookie-cutter, HGTV design, and he helped me make it happen, and even provided ideas that improved upon the original idea. We took on the task of remodeling our home at the end of 2022. The project was complex enough that it required us to move out of the house during construction. Given our busy schedules and the stressful process of relocating, one of our objectives was to have a tight schedule. We were referred to Cody by friends whose construction he had completed on time. Cody spent time talking with us going over various options and the complexities we would face during the process over multiple visits in the planning stage. Major construction is something that most homeowners will rarely, if at all, encounter. So it was invaluable to have someone walk us through each step. He provided an itemized quote with a separate budget for finishing material like flooring and carpets. His input on the process of getting a permit from the city was on target as we started in 2023 and this resulted in us starting our apartment/storage leases on time. He scheduled demolition to align with completion of the permitting process. Throughout the construction, communication was clear with notes and photos since we could not visit the job site often. There are inevitable surprises during a project of this magnitude which result in unplanned effort, and these were all swiftly dealt with by Cody. During the construction, both our family and Cody’s family took a vacation as planned prior to the contract, but the work continued without a break as agreed. Cody was reachable by phone even across the world to answer questions and relay photographs of the work. We reached the finish line towards the end of 2023 as promised by Cody.
